It’s time to Celebrate!!

It’s a pity the weather forecast isn’t great, but things can change ………

At 11.30am on Saturday 4 June, there will be a short ‘ceremony’ to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. There will be the ‘unveiling’ of the new Cherry tree planted by the parish council as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy in which communities are encouraged to ‘Plant a tree for the Jubilee’ and of the new wooden planter with plants & flowers donated by Common Wood Flowers.

Unfortunately, the new Welcome sign to frame the planter is not yet available, and is hoped to be installed at a later date.
All residents are welcome to attend; the parish council would also like to know if you were a Woolaston resident in 1952!

The picnic tables for the Great Woolaston Jubilee Picnic Lunch will be put out around the parish in the morning on Sunday 5 June. All residents are encouraged to take picnic blankets, chairs and your picnic and meet with friends and neighbours for a picnic lunch.

Hope you all enjoy the weekend!!
